Hello everyone!
It was great to see you all at this year’s carnival. This year consisted of a bigger parade than ever, even more stalls, a family fun area in Jubilee Gardens and an amazing fireworks display.
I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight what an amazing group of volunteers we have each year come and help us, making all of this possible. I would like to extend my thanks to all of you who came out on such a hot day, you were all amazing.
We still have a couple of meetings before the end of the year:
Our Public Debrief Meeting – 1st September 2025 at 6:00pm – This is the meeting where you can voice your feedback directly to the committee.- Our AGM – 15th September 2025 at 7:00pm – Awarding this year’s causes with their split of the profits from the carnival this year, plus voting on who will be taking on the committee’s roles for the next year.
Both of these meetings will be held at Bewdley Bowling Club on the shown dates, please add them to your diaries, it would be great to see you there!
We would also welcome your feedback by filling out the form below. Please be as honest as possible, and all data is anonymous.
I don’t usually talk about myself on these posts, but on a more personal note, this year marks my last year as Chairman of Bewdley Carnival and my final year on the committee. I have been involved with Bewdley Carnival for many years at this point, initially asked to help out with road closures and marhsalling duties all those years ago. The carnival holds a special place in my heart and I hope it continues to be a great success for the town and the causes it supports.
I will be staying as a trustee of the charity and look forward to seeing what the committee has planned going forward. Thank you to everyone I have met along the way and to those of you who have supported me through my time as Chairman.
In my place, I have personally nominated Emily Bourne to take on the role of Chair. Emily has worked tirelessly as Secretary for the last 3 years and we could not bring Bewdley the carnival it deserves without her. Although voting isn’t until the 15th of September at the next AGM, I would like to wish her all the best in her new role, should she be selected.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon in the future.
All the best,
Martin Fisher
Chairman
