I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended this year’s carnival. This year came with quite a few changes to our carnival, including holding the event in the centre of town and having the parade travel through Wribbenhall. It has not been without it’s challenges for all of us on the committee, with a lot of stumbling blocks to overcome whilst we try to bring you all the carnival that Bewdley deserves.

You will have seen me on carnival day leading our team to make sure that traders could trade, roads stayed closed and all aspects of the event were running to plan. All of this cannot be done by myself alone. We have an amazing group of volunteers that make all of this happen. I would just like to extend my thanks to all of you who came to help us, you were all amazing.

I could not be any more proud of the amazing team I have been part of over the last couple of years. The local people who make up our committee are the best of the best, they truly care about this event and have kept me on my toes the entire year! I must say thank you to each of them for all they do to make this event such a success.

Our AGM is fast approaching and will be held at Bewdley Bowling Club on Wednesday 4th September at 7:00pm. The committee would like to invite you all to attend this meeting, including local groups, the organisations we have supported this year and the general public. We look forward to seeing you all there, and can’t wait to start planning for next year.
